Let the counting start: 1, 2, 3 and 4

So anyone who knows us knows we spend some time at our local Orthopedics’ office. Every year I make a broken bone count... last year we ended the year with 4 confirmed broken bones with 2 others that were possible breaks (one happening on New Years Eve so maybe you could count that as this year...)
Well this year broken bone count has started with a BANG thanks to Davis. We are now less than one month in and have 4 confirmed broken bones! Yes that is right 4 in one big crash! Both the Radius and Ulna in BOTH arms. That means full arm cast on both arms for at least 6 weeks... makes life a little interesting, you should see how resourceful Davis is getting!

Waiting in the Urgent are in Yuma, they were able to splint the arms enough so we could make it home to spend the next 12 hours in a local children’s hospital!

At the hospital with an IV in one leg and a blood pressure band on the other. Morphine was a good thing at this point in the game.

Not to excited about having to drive home from Yuma.... going to be a long night.

Davis' poor fingers, by the end of the week they were pretty much purplish black and green... typical after having to have your arm bones wrenched back into alignment.   Tomorrow hopefully we will get his arms put in a cast, now that the swelling is going down and then the 6 week count down will begin...

Here is Davis' drug educed version of what happened... VRRMMM, WEEE, AHHH, OHH NOO, BOOM, BANG, ERRRG, AHHH, OWW, UGGG

Oh my gosh...you are so amazing...what an eventful weekend for you! The pictures just make my heart hurt seeing his sad faces and imagining the pain he was in.

And, happy birthday Bruce! I loved your post :-)
