A day in the snow

We had to take a quick trip up to snow country to pick Brandon up from his Boy's Scout Camp-out. (He had a mandatory baseball practice and had to come home early). On our way the kids and I stopped to play in the snow. At first we were afraid we would not find any, but slowly we saw a little here and a little there. Every time we spotted a bit of snow, Z would yell in her happiest voice...snow...snow...ohhh snow! Soon we were on top of the rim and there we found plenty of snow, I would say up to 12 feet of snow in some places... this snow was perhaps 4-5 feet deep... We had to climb up the bank to reach the top! It was beautiful, and well cold! It did not take long for my native Phoenician children to have enough and be back in the car in search for the nearest gas station with hot cocoa! (This by the way was not very close!) It was a great day and Zaidee made a little snowman, which was her dream!
