If you could pick anywhere in the world to get stuck... you might want to think about this place! The
Polihal'e beach in
Kauai'i. This lovely 7 mile
stretch of sand had only a
handful of people on it. With the Na
Pali Cliffs (as seen in South Pacific) framing the West side of the beach and beach as far as the eye can see to the east... I would say, if you have to be stuck some where... this is not a bad place to do it!
Bruce was doing great in the rented Ford, until he stopped to turn on the low 4 wheel drive.... then we were stuck!
Zaidee wasted no time, finding something to do while Mom, Dad and the boys dug out the sand around the tires.
Checking out the coast. Brandon was getting excited to go into
Survivor man mode... what if we are stuck here all night... I must make shelter out of palm
frawns and sea weed.... just kidding!
Bruce has stuck smarts... he is letting air out of the tire to gain more traction.
And it worked. We were out and rolling again in no time. (see the beautiful Na
Pali cliffs in the distance?)
Time to celebrate... we won't be needing that shelter after all!
Yippee, we get to go sleep at the
Marriott, not on some beach, some where!
